I still miss Skip and his humor EVERY game. I just saw a grandaughter the other day in the booth. Skip would be so proud of her.

As much as I like the current crew, I still miss Skip's wit. I will never forget one of his wisecracks about Montreal's mascot. After one pitch Skip said, "Montreal has the second best mascot in Canadian major league baseball." After the next pitch he said, "Toronto doesn't have one."

Thinking about and missing Skip today for some reason.....maybe it's because the Pirates are in town and that reminds me of Sid's slide. We will never forget you, Skip. RIP.

I loved watching and listening to Skip do the Braves games. When they would switch between radio and TV would swap the sound to the one Skip. Baseball is not the same without his wit and humor.

I just received Pete's book "Of Mikes and Men" and it reminded me of all the hours that I listened and watched Braves baseball on TBS. I miss those days with Skip, Pete and Earnie. I've been a Braves fan since 1957.

I miss Skip so much. Its good to see a place to remember him and more people who miss him too. Its still hard to believe you can't just turn on TBS at 7:05 anymore and listen to him. I would never change channels until he said so long everybody. The world is not the same without him.

we really miss skip and all the guys doing the braves games on radio and television. i became a braves baseball fan because of skip, and his ability to keep it interesting and funny, along with the vast knowledge of the game. i learned alot listening to him, and it just isnt the same any more. i will never believe that there has been, or will be a better team than skip, pete, don, and joe. although i think chip does a great job today, i still miss my guys.
thanks for some fantastic memories !!!!

Well, I was a fan as well. I listened to he father Harry as a child growing up in St. Louis. I remember Harry signing off his broadcasts by saying "good night Skippy!" Too bad Skip is gone! He was a great one too.
